Please take note that, pursuant to 38 MRSA, Sections 413 and 414-A, The University of Maine, intends to file a wastewater discharge permit application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The application is for the discharge of a variable amount of steam condensate water intermittently from the Steam Plant to the University of Maine storm sewer system, which ultimately leads to the Stillwater River in Orono, ME. The application will be filed on or about Jan. 9, 2019 and will be available for public inspection at DEP's Augusta office during normal business hours.
