
The Maine Department of Corrections is conducting a competitive bid process for "Sewer System Remediation" at the Mountain View Correctional Facility in Charleston, Maine. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Bureau of Real Estate Management, 4th Floor, Cross State Office Building, 111 Sewall Street, 77 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333 at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 15, 2018.
Work under this project includes, but is not limited to, the repair and replacement of about 325 LF of 6" Ø and 8" Ø PVC sanitary sewer, the replacement or addition of 3 precast manholes, the rehabilitation in-place of two precast manholes/wet wells, the replacement of 5 PVC vertical sewer cleanouts, the replacement of 8 manhole frames and covers, the installation of two 5,000 gallon precast grease traps, capping and abandoning two sections of sewer, conducting about 20 test pits to determine the location of potential existing utility conflicts, and all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals including sitework, earthwork, erosion control, paving, surface restoration, insulation and incidentals for a complete, working sewer remediation project.
