The York Selectmen for York, Maine will receive sealed bids for Long Sands Beach Bathhouse until 2 PM Local Time on October 19, 2016, at the Town Hall, 186 York Street, York, Maine, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held Department of Public Works, 115 Chase Pond Road on October 11, 2016, at 10 AM.
Project consists of the removal of the existing bathhouse and construction of a new bathhouse with expanded capacity and the associated sidewalk and road re-alignment and landscape amenities.
A copy of the contract documents for the work may be obtained from Ransom Consulting, Inc., 400 Commercial Street, Suite 404, Portland, ME 0410, after October 4, 2016, upon payment of $100 in cash or check non-refundable made payable to Ransom Consulting, Inc. 1. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five
percent of the value of the bid.
2. A performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of 100
percent of the contract price will be required.
3. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 10 consecutive calendar days
after the actual date of the bid opening.
4. The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects, or reject
any or all bids if it is in the best interest of the TOWN to do so.
