Behavioral Health Needs of Children in Maine
Maine DHHS Office of Child and Family Services (OCFS) and Disability Rights Maine (DRM)
Want to hear from families of children receiving or in need of community based behavioral health services (sometimes referred to as Section 28 and/or 65), as well as community members. Come share your positive experience with the current behavioral health services as well as any challenges your family may be experiencing. Children's Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) and DRM seek to better understand and address the unmet needs of children with developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses and their families. PRIORITY AREAS FOR CHILDREN'S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES IN MAINE
CBHS established the following priorities for 2017:
1.) Ability to access behavioral health services for children
2.) How well the current system of children's behavioral health services is meeting your child's needs
3.) Barriers to accessing services, if any, encountered in meeting your child's behavioral health needs
4.) Suggestions to improve the children's behavioral health system of care
