Separate sealed BIDS for the Main Entrance and Parking Lot Paving Project located at the 14th Street School, Bangor, Maine, for the Bangor School Department will be received at the office of Carpenter Associates, 687 Stillwater Avenue, Old Town, Maine until 3:00 P.M. local time May 24, 2017, and then at the said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be purchased and/or examined at the office of the Engineer, Carpenter Associates, 687 Stillwater Avenue, Old Town, Maine 04468 (207-827-8001) for a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Only those companies listed on the project's "List of Bidders" are eligible to submit a proposal on this project.

A bid security will be required consisting of a 5 percent (5%) Bid Bond or a Certified Check in lieu of the Bid Bond is required. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the value of the work are required.
Scope of Work Summary:
Repave drive and parking lot. Work includes removal of existing pavement, regrading, repaving, curbing, and new sidewalks. Granite curbing is an alternate. There is also some restriping required. At least two catch basin frames are to be removed, basin top repaired, and frame reset for proper drainage.
A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. at the 14th Street School, 224 14th Street, Bangor, Maine. This will be the only time contractors will be able to visit the site to review existing conditions prior to submitting a bid. Meet at the Main Entrance to begin.
