NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS REQUEST FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids in envelopes plainly marked for: UMA-Bangor, Camden Hall Renovations, addressed to: UMA-Bangor c/o Sheri R. Stevens Executive Director of Administrative Services 65 Texas Avenue Bangor, Maine 04401 Will be received until 2pm Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Sealed bids may also be hand delivered to UMA-Bangor, Lewiston Hall Second Floor on the UMA Bangor campus. Proposals received after the stated time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. Proposals must be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond, as prescribed in Section 00 43 13, for 5% of the Proposal (checks will not be accepted). The University System reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any and all proposals or to accept any proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and 100%Payment Bond to cover the execution of the contract which shall be in conformity with the form of Bonds contained in Sections 00 61 13.13 and 00 61 13.16 of the Specifications and for the contract amount. Project Summary: The project consists of renovation to interior space for a dog kennel room and support area. On the exterior, fenced in dog runs are constructed. The work will include minor concrete, steel stud and dry wall, cabinetry, seamless epoxy floor and wall covering, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and site work, fencing and paving. The University will provide tel-com services, as well as card access hardware/installation. Completion date: August 7, 2017. Liquidated damages: per 00 73 00.11 A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk-through will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Camden Hall, UMA-Bangor. Bidding contractors and subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend.
