Please take notice that Dysart's Realty Company (Attn: Tim Dysart), P.O. Box 1689, Bangor, Maine 04402, telephone (207) 942-4878 is intending to file a Traffic Movement Permit application with the Maine Department of Transportation pursuant to the provisions of 23 M.R.S.A. § 704-A on or about April 12, 2017. The application is for an expanded 6,272 square foot (S.F.) Dysart's Travel Stop with 8 fueling positions and a 2,380 S.F. Dunkin' Donuts with drive-through facility and a 640 S.F. beauty salon. The project is located on the east side of Carmel Road North (Route 69), opposite Murray Road, at the existing Dysart's Travel Stop in Newburgh, Maine. The project is expected to begin construction as soon as permits are issued in 2017 with occupancy in late 2017. The overall expansion project is expected to generate approximately 276 new one-way trips during the weekday AM peak hour and 173 new one-way trips during the PM peak hour. A request for a public hearing must be received by the Department, in writing, no later than 20 days after the application is found by the Department to be complete and is accepted for processing. Public comment on the application will be accepted throughout the processing of the application. The application will be filed for public inspection at the Maine Department of Transportation Eastern Region 4 Office at 219 Hogan Road in Bangor during normal working hours. A copy of the application may also be seen at the Newburgh Town Office at 2220 Western Avenue, Newburgh, ME 04444. Written public comments may be sent to the Department of Transportation, Traffic Engineering Division, 16 State House Station, Augusta, Maine 04333.
