INNOVATIVE SPECIALITIES, INC. TRAILER MANUFACTURING BUILDING
The Innovative Specialties (OWNER) cordially invites bids for the construction of their new trailer manufacturing building on Lots 2 and 3 of the Pittsfield Industrial Park, at the intersection of Business Court and Parrillo Drive in Pittsfield, Maine. Sealed bids will be received by the ENGINEER at their offices until 1:00 PM prevailing local time, on May 1, 2017.

The work generally consists of the following:
New 18,886-square-foot office, warehouse and manufacturing building; concrete pad foundation; timber construction; associated site clearing, grading and yard construction; limited paving; electrical systems (computers, power and lighting); mechanical heating and ventilation systems; connection to public water and sewer.
Bidders are encouraged to conduct visits to the site prior to the bid date. No pre-bid meeting will be held for this project. Questions on the bid manual and plans shall be directed to Plymouth Engineering, Inc. via email.
The Contract shall be in accordance with the provisions of all pertinent general public laws of the State of Maine in effect at the time of the execution of the Contract. The work is partially funded through a CDBG Grant. As such, all work must be performed in accordance with the "State of Maine CDBG Program Federal Construction Contract Provisions for Contracts Exceeding $100,000" included within the Project Manual.
A satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany bids. The selected Contractor will be required to furnish a 100% Performance/Payment Bonds and Lien Waivers to cover the execution of the work. Bonds and Lien Waivers shall conform to the Specifications and for the Contract Amount. The Owner reserves the right to waive all informalities, and reject any and all proposals or to accept any proposal as may be deemed to be in the Owner's best interest.
The Owner is NOT a tax exempt entity.
Plans and specifications will be available April 10, 2017, for a $75 non-refundable fee, $100 if mailed (United States Postal Service first class) or $100 (Federal Express-Overnight) from: Plymouth Engineering, Inc., PO Box 46, Plymouth, Maine 04969 at telephone number (207) 257-2071. Contract Documents may be examined at the same address as they may be obtained.
